On September 22, 2012, Shout Out Out Out Out & Teen Daze converged on the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver to mark the release of their very special edition collaboration, a 12" vinyl record comprised of one original from each band, and a swap of well-crafted remixes. OLIO Festival and Glory Days, both Vancouver institutions of the over-enjoyment of music, played host to this momentous occasion. The sky-high spirit of this collaboration on record shone through on stage, as Teen Daze's soaring set of blissful dancefloor jams lead into an exultant late-night performance by Edmonton's Shout Out Out Out Out, the 6-piece analog-obsessed synth-rock collective making their first return visit to Vancouver in two years. Here, the band's Nik Kozub and Lyle Bell get into the heights of this special occasion, and give some insight into how the beautiful Scion Sessions 12" came together.
